Please don’t post in the Alpha/Beta forum unless you’re actually testing the alpha/beta version of WordPress (not a plugin or a theme). Also, once WordPress has released a version, it’s not appropriate to post in alpha/beta and you should post in the Fixing WordPress forum:

It sounds like the issue is that not everything on your site may be compatible with whatever this ‘new’ version of PHP was. If it was PHP 8, then that is probably it, because not all plugins and themes are compatible. WP core will work fine, but it has some quirks.

If you want to try this again, make sure you update everything first (all plugins, all themes, core WP). Then make a note of what your current PHP settings are (version etc) and change one thing at a time ??
