Wordpres Ofline installation is diff. hard drive

    Dear all good day,
    In reference to the above subject I am trying to install WP offline using the Microsoft Web Platform Installer 5.0 without success,
    First there is not an option at the beginning of the installation to choose a different folder.
    I do not have enough space in my primary SSD. I would really appreciate any suggestions

  • Okay if I’m understanding your question right, the Microsoft Web Platform installer is attempting to install all the necessary components (PHP, MySQL, IIS) to run WordPress on your local machine. But it’s not letting you select a different directory then your main local hard drive, which, currently does not have enough space.

    Okay if that’s a correct understanding of your issue, then it looks like you have two possible ways to solve it:

    1) Contact Microsoft for support on the Web Platform Installer and see why it can’t select a different directory.

    2) Make enough room on your local hard drive so the installation can succeed.

    Sound as though this would be a question for the Web Platform Installer forum ??

    Alternatively, you may want to consider a different local server “stack”, such as my personal fave of many years, Uniform Server, or other popular ones like XAMPP and WAMPServer.

    Thank you all for your assistance although I prefer (witout having a choice) MS installer because windows 8.1/skype are very possessive and I have to do a lot of modifications with Apache etc.

    I know I can’t stand MS sometimes but this is all I got and I have to work.
