    Hello
A can’t log to ma website WordPress dashbord.
On the login page I am asked to use double authentication. But no window opens so that I can possibly enter a code. Knowing that double authentication is disabled on this site. I receive emails from Wordfence telling me that my profile and my IP have been blocked. I try the unlock procedure: but the login page does not recognize me. I even did the lost password procedure and nothing worked. I really need to access the site. Urgent. Thank you. Thank you. R.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • Since you didn’t get an answer yet, I’ll share this tip:

Do you got any server access? Temporarily disabling the plugin by ftp or ssh (by renaming or removing the folder in wp-content/plugins) is always a sureshot way to get around it and get logged in. Once you logged in, you can re-enable / re-install the plugin and continue as normal.

Hi @rharri, thanks for contacting us and sorry to see you were unable to access your site. Here’s how you can get back in:

    • Please use FTP/SFTP — or any file manager your web host provides via their administration panel.
    • Look inside the /wp-content/plugins/ directory and rename the wordfence directory to wordfence.bak. This will deactivate Wordfence and allow you to login without the 2FA code.
    • Once you have logged in to your WordPress admin you can name the folder back to wordfence again.
    • If you wish to, go to your user profile and add 2FA back to your account, making sure to download the backup codes in case of problems in the future.

If you have any other trouble logging in once 2FA is enabled again, feel free to reach out here. There could be Javascript errors in your browser console to look out for!

    Thanks,
    Peter.
