Wordfence won’t save changed I make on Options

  • Hi,
    I am trying to save changes on the Options, and when I click “save changes”, it only says WordFence is working, but the action never completes. Just keeps spinning. Have tried several times.
    HELP.
    I was for some reason locked out by Wordfence, got back in, now I need to enable rate limiting etc and that just won’t “Save”.

    Most probably this is due to a JavaScript error on this specific page, please check “JavaScript Console” while being on this Options page and let me know if you can see any error there.

    Also, try to disable your other plugins -temporarily- and re-check this issue.

    Hi, I am not seeing any error there. I then disabled other plugins and then was able to save this option. Thank you; but I don’t know what the conflict is/was.

    Well, I hit reply too soon. Now I am blocked from the site by Wordfence. ?? This is also a problem that has been happening. Why was my access blocked due to clicking on this option and activating it? Why is it blocking me??

    Are you still getting blocked? please share a screenshot showing the exact blocking massage you get.

    Also, make sure to choose the correct option for “How does Wordfence get IPs“, this can be easily checked by:
    – Open your website link in a new browser window while not being logged in. (for example, Chrome incognito mode).
    – Then check your visit in “Live Traffic” log and make sure it shows your correct IP address.
