    My setup:

    /home/user/public_html/ — Joomla
/home/user/public_html/taught-courses/ (firewall optimized, updated to 6.1.11) – broken, had to rename plugin folder.
/home/user/public_html/courses/ (firewall optimized, updated to 6.1.11) – working fine

    all running under mydomain.com
    e.g:
    mydomain.com
    mydomain.com/taught-courses/
    mydomain.com/courses/

What other info do you need?

    Hi johntyb,

Thanks for making an additional post. Can you check in the taught-courses directory, and find the .htaccess or .user.ini file (or the php.ini file if you had set up the firewall manually), and see what the path is on the line that says “auto_prepend_file”?

If that path doesn’t point to the taught-courses directory, that may be part of the reason.

Also, please check the “wordfence-waf.php” file at that location — do the paths in that file point to somewhere other than the current Wordfence plugin’s folder for that site? (You can post them here and anonymize them too, as you did with the others.)

    Hi,

I checked the files you suggested. While the .htaccess file had the correct path. The .user.ini file had an incorrect path. This appears to have resolved the issue.

    Thanks for your help.
