Wordfence took down my site generating 502 errors

    Wordfence took down my site generating 502 errors. As soon as I removed the plugin, the errors stopped and my site was back up. Pretty bad when your WP firewall is what takes down your entire website.

  • Hi @gemllc,

    Have you tried checking the “Delete Wordfence tables and data on deactivation” checkbox prior to disabling the plugin?

    Alternatively you can also install the Wordfence Assistant plugin which has several options to remove Wordfence data.

    Then please try and re-install Wordfence.
