• Over the weekend I changed my password for a site on WP and when I went to log in on my desktop a few days later, I forgot that I had capitalized the first letter so it locked me out.

The owner of the site unblocked my IP address and it shows that I’m unblocked on the live traffic and blocked IP list but it still says that I’m temporarily locked out and this is a few days later…

I’m also an admin on the site but even when I send myself an unlock email it tells me I don’t have the authorization.

Has anyone else had this problem and is there any solutions?

  • Hi,
As long as your IP isn’t in “Wordfence > Blocked IPs” list at the moment you got locked out, then the locked out page could be cached on the server/browser level, I suggest clearing cache on your website in case you are using any caching plugin and also from your browser then re-check this issue.

Let me know how it goes,
    Thanks.
