Wordfence showing 'Fatal Erro' in Scan Detailed Activity panel

Scan Detailed Activity panel shows ‘Fatal Error’ just after ‘Fetching list of known malware files from Wordfence’.
After a long wait scan begins but repeatedly shows ‘Fatal Erro’ as above.
When scan completes, the ‘New issues’ panels are squeezed into the ‘Scan Detailed Activity panel’ panel instead of showing underneath that panel.
I have WF on another site on the same server which runs correctly which is why I compared and spotted this odd behaviour, could it be clashing with other plugins?
