Wordfence – Should I worry

I am trying to help a friend who has been spammed and hacked. I installed Wordfence and it is now blocking hundreds of hits. And I mean hundreds, dear Ivan from St Petersburg is hitting the site at least once a minute. The blocking is working but should I worry about the volume. Is there anything more I can to do to protect her
