    Hi there,
i had a look at the wordfence diagnostic page and can see that “Connecting back to this site” fails with the you-got-blocked message. This should stop automatic wordfence scans.
If i disable PVB this test proceeds. Block on all pages is active.
    What can i do?

  • I cannot reproduce this with the Proxy & VPN Blocker.
Are you sure that something else doesn’t affect Wordfence?

Some plugins block everything under wp-admin, which will affect wp-admin/admin-ajax.php, which is what Wordfence connects to.

You have to enable “Detect VPNs” and have no api key entered. I registered with proxycheck.io, entered the api key and now the wordfence error is away.
I installed only PVB and wordfence with default settings.

Sorry for this thread, all wrong.
My Hoster is detected as VPN, so the loopback test of wordfence fails.
For the moment I added my own IP to the whitelist and it works.

    Hi there,
I have installed your plugin and been testing it. Its great, but one question though. I want to whitelist google and other important ones. I know I can whitelist ips etc. How can I whitelist google etc efficiently through the settings option? Any straight away ideas. For instance, if I want to whitelist a particular ASN number, should I enter just the number or there is some particular ASN format that I should enter int he whitelist field. Sorry not so tech savvy. Hope you will help

    Hi Maleen,

There is no need to whitelist Google (or other search engines) proxycheck.io API safely manages those IP address ranges.

As for ASN or other blacklist/whitelist entries, we follow the same format as the API.

Write the IP’s, IP Ranges or ASN numbers to be blacklisted. An example has been provided below.

12.13.14.15 #Banned user on my website
2001:4860:4860::8888 #Cheater from my Game Server

    12.13.14.0/24 #Ban evaders IP Range
    2001:4860:4860::ffff/64 #Ban evaders IP Range

    AS28843 #Probing network
AS28845 #Network performing denial of service

    Thank you
