Wordfence security plugin is causing error in wordpress login

    I have all plugins up to date. Using woocommerce, new wp version.
    I wasn’t able to connect to wp-admin today. After disconnecting plugins from FTP, one by one, culprit was found, and it was Wordfence. Why? I do not know, after disabling wordfence everything was all right.
    this might be useful for someone.

    Hi @blueboxnet, thanks for letting us know and sorry to see you had this issue.

    Did you have any Login Security features enabled such as 2FA or reCAPTCHA? Also, was the login page refusing to load because of the error, or was it a Wordfence-branded block page instead of a code issue? There could be a problem with IP detection if it was the latter, where you’d be blocked inadvertently for the actions of another IP.

    I am having the same issue and unable to log in to my WP site. I received an email from WP that it’s WordFence Plug In issue. I deactivated the 2FA because of this issue but I still can’t log in. I cleared Cache on Chrome but no avail. I’m having issues on Safari sometimes but not all the time.
