    Hi,
I’m having trouble updating my posts and pages.
I have disabled all my plugins then activated them one by one and tested if I could then update. The only time my posts and pages wouldn’t update was when this plugin was active.

How can I resolve this issue so that I can keep Wordfence active?

    Thanks for all your help.

  • Hey @bethplans,

Can you please switch the Firewall into Learning Mode and let me know if it helps?

Hi, I want to second this, in Learning mode it’s OK but when activated it really makes it impossible to work with any page in the Divi Builder that has any jQuery code used on it. It seemed to start a few months ago, I think.

    Hey @altimac,

I believe there were some major Divi updates and now the Firewall needs to learn the new actions. Please try setting the Wordfence Firewall to Learning Mode and repeat the action that was blocked. You can set this on the Firewall > Firewall Options page. When the blocked action is repeated, an entry should then be placed in the Whitelisted URLs section of the Firewall Options page. If you see the entry being added there it should then be fine to set the Firewall back to Enabled and Protecting.

Please give this a try and let me know how it goes.

    Thanks,

    Gerroald

Ah, thank you for clarifying that. I thought the advice to set it to Learning Mode was just a way to temporarily allow the Divi Builder to function, but you are saying that using it in Learning Mode for a week might be enough for it to whitelist the kinds of things that Divi is doing within the builder? To me it seemed to happen mostly when we have Code Modules on a page with jQuery code in them but there was some weirdness overall, so maybe this will allow things to work better. We have no intention of disabling WordFence on a permanent basis, so we were really hoping there was a way to deal with this issue. Thanks!

    Hey @altimac,

That’s correct. Just let it run for a while in Learning Mode and periodically when you’re using Divi actions that weren’t working check the Whitelist to make sure they’re being added. Once the actions have been added to the Whitelist in the Firewall Options page it should be just fine to reenable it.

Please let me know how it goes.

    Thanks,

    Gerroald

    Hey @altimac,

We haven’t heard back from you in a while, so I’ve gone ahead and marked this thread as resolved.

Please feel free to open another thread if you’re still having issues with Wordfence.

    Thanks,

    Gerroald
