    Hi,

I really love Fastest Cache, but I also run Wordfence, which checks the versions of the plugin files.
Through the time, I had lots of warnings about Fastest Cache; the latest is that admin.php has changed…
Is it possible that you changed this file without changing the version number of Fastest Cache? And is that something you do regularly?

ohh yeah. I always modify the files. How does wordfence detect it? It compares plugin files with the files which are in wordpress?

    Hi Emre,

yes, Wordfence checks the files on my server against the current repository files.
And generates a message / mail / todo for me.. (for each site I use Fastest Cache on).
I don’t know if it is a lot of extra work to change the version also?

I change files and commit. when I am sure that it works well, I release new version.

So there can be some (how many?) time between committing files to the repository (testing) and releasing a new version?
I.m.h.o. the time between commitment and release should be very short, just long enough to ensure that the installation/update process works as expected.
Otherwise users are working with possibly non-stable files.

Look, 450.000 users have been downloaded wpfc. If I release new version, lots of people are affected so I commit and new users use it. If new users have a problem, I fix it.

Well, I respect your opinion, but in my case (and of other Wordfence users) this causes too much false positives. I will rethink my strategy for caching.

Thanks again for your support and efforts!
