I got an email notifying me that there was a problem with wordpress. I couldn’t log in, and had to use recovery mode to get in. Wordfence was listed as the cause and when I tried to reactivate it, I get the following:
    ———-

Warning: require_once(vendor/wordfence/wf-waf/src/init.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/content/p3pnexwpnas15_data01/16/3574116/html/wp-content/plugins/wordfence/wordfence.php on line 64

Fatal error: require_once(): Failed opening required ‘vendor/wordfence/wf-waf/src/init.php’ (include_path=’.:/usr/local/php5_6/lib/php’) in /home/content/p3pnexwpnas15_data01/16/3574116/html/wp-content/plugins/wordfence/wordfence.php on line 64

godaddy managed hosting (client’s choice, not mine)
    WP 5.2.1
    word fence 7.3.3

If I delete and reinstall wordfence, do I lose all my settings? This appears to only affect the one site. Others are running fine.

  • I had the same problem with GoDaddy managed hosted site.

Had to delete plugin and flush cache.

After deleting and reinstalling the plugin, everything working fine.

    Hey @davesnothere,

This sounds like a WordPress plugin update that didn’t go well. Can you please try reinstalling Wordfence and let me know if it helps?

Please note that if you use the Wordfence Assistant method the tables below will need to be manually removed. In the next Wordfence Assistant release, these tables will be added to it.

    Thanks,

    Gerroald
