    Hi,

So my membership software has a file that needs to be called every hour.
It is located in a folder.
I’ve set up the Cron Job in cPanel properly, but when the job runs – I get an email saying this:

    Error 406 – Not Acceptable
Generally a 406 error is caused because a request has been blocked by Mod Security. If you believe that your request has been blocked by mistake please contact the web site owner.

How do I stop WordFence from monitoring this specific file in this specific folder?

I’ve been Googling it for an hour and can’t find anything at all.

    Thanks.

  • You should be able to enable manually it in the firewall – or you can also switch the Wordfence firewall into learning mode, and run the cron so that it learns the acceptable communication, then switch it back out of learning mode.

    Hi,
That email you received doesn’t belong to Wordfence, “Error 406” usually is related to one of the rules set by “mod_security”, so I recommend getting in contact with your hosting provider regarding this email, they should investigate this issue in details.

    Thanks.
