• Hi I need to check if this plugin uses a javascript asset lv_js.js, as this is only loaded on my WordPress site when this plugin is loaded. Wordfence scan reports:

Details: This file appears to be installed or modified by a hacker to perform malicious activity. If you know about this file you can choose to ignore it to exclude it from future scans. The matched text in this file is: _0x711c=[“\x23

    The issue type is: Suspicious:JS/hexifyallthethings.5556
Description: Javascript code indicative of malware

I would be grateful if you could confirm/deny this.

  • Hi vincentejc,

Speaking for Wordfence, it looks like that particular result was likely a false positive. Usually Wordfence adds plugins in the www.remarpro.com repository to our list of allowed files, but on occasion a new version of a plugin will contain an updated file that matches one of our malware detection signatures before we have a chance to add it to our allowed list. During this time the malware scan may detect the updated file even though it is a false positive. At this time you should no longer see this scan result.
