• Hi. Thanks for the help. Recently my host provider (hostgator) tell me that wordfence is overloading the server an block my website. Can i fixed if i set de the cron jobs in this way. I quote the message
Thanxs ( sorry for my english)
    el joropo
    web site: https://www.eljoropo.com

“Specifically, what I noticed while monitoring this account’s usages is that eljoropo.com/site’s Wordfence plugin is incessantly scanning the account, causing multiple php processes to spawn from the site’s /home3/eljo1212/public_html/site/wp-admin/admin-ajax.php script which are establishing frequent connections to the mysql server. If you wish to continue using the Wordfence plugin, we recommend taking measures to reduce the rate at which this plugin scans the account as well as perhaps setting up a linux-based cron job to execute the site’s wp-cron.php script at a more regulated interval. Instructions detailing how to do the latter can be found at https://support.hostgator.com/articles/specialized-help/technical/wordpress/how-to-replace-wordpress-cron-with-a-real-cron-job”

  • On the Live Traffic page make sure and turn “Your Site Activity in Real-Time” off. I use this function when I need it. Turn that off and then contact support and ask if that looks better. Then let us know what you are told.
