• A site of mine has been hacked. Wordfence found no problems. GOTMLS Anti-Malware plugin scan found that the wp-content/plugins/index.php was full of malicious code. How has WF missed this?

  • Hello. Actually, there is no 100% guarantee way to protect site against attacks. Even you have just one HTML page website. Well, all firewalls and antiviruses may have some weaknesses. You may try an alternative way to improve your website security by using Virusdie. There is an antivirus with an automatic malware removal and built-in CMS-agent firewall one click simple to install.

    Hi @padcreative,
Are you sure that the Firewall was configured on your website and its status was “Enabled and Protecting“?

Also, please send this file with malicious code to “samples [at] wordfence [dot] com” for further investigations.

    Thanks.
