I installed Wordfence specifically to block site.ru. Unfortunately, it doesn’t seem to be working. The site is blocked in the Wordfence panel and shows that it has never made an attempt, but my Redirection plugin shows that site.ru was the referrer for several 404 attempts within the time frame that I set the block.

    Any advice on what’s happening?

    Hi,

I have some questions for you.

Is the reason that you want to block referral visits from site.ru because there is a hyperlink on that site that allows visitors on that site to visit your site?

If that is the case please provide the URL where the a hyperlink exists on site.ru linking back to your site.

If it is a different issue then please describe in as much detail as possible what is happening and what you want to achieve please.

When you say site.ru is blocked are you seeing this in the Wordfence “Live Traffic” page feed? If you are, then please take a screenshot of the block, add it to an image sharing service and post the link to the screenshot here so that I can have a look please.

Can you describe in as much detail as possible the specific purpose of the redirection plugin that you are using and send a link to another screenshot showing that site.ru was the referrer for several 404 attempts.

    Thank you.

It seems to be blocking site.ru now, but for your question I was referring to the Redirection plugin I have on my site which does similar tasks as your plugin.
