    Hi guys,

I noticed that for some reason wordfence isn’t blocking users according to the settings.

For example i’ve set it to block users if they try to login with unexisting usrename. But it doesen’t do it… I had a wrong user today try to login around 10 times in a row without being blocked. It didn’t trigger the other rules allso – block after 2 unsucsessful logins and so on..

    Any thoughts?

    Hi,

Are you using any other security or captcha plugins? Some other plugins change the internal WordPress login error message, so Wordfence can’t see the real reason for the failure.

If you’re not using any other related plugins, check to see if users on the Live Traffic tab show up with different IPs, or if they’re all the same. On some unusual hosting setups, the host may report a single non-public IP for all visits. (If that is the case, you may need to set the option “How does Wordfence get IPs” — let us know if you need help with that.)
