Hi @thebigbanik, thanks for your query.

If you are using a WordPress Multisite installation, the My Sites > Network Admin > Dashboard > Settings > Menu settings > Enable administration menus > Plugins box will need to be checked to display the plugins menu to the site admins.

After clicking Save Changes, you should now be able to find Wordfence in the administration menu.

    Thanks,

    Peter.

Hi, thanks for the tip, but this didn’t help. Wordfence is not visible in any of my subsites or the main site or the network admin’s menu.

Hi @thebigbanik thanks for getting back to me,

Just for clarity, you only need to install Wordfence on the master account and not for each individual site, so the plugin should only be visible on the main site network admin dashboard. You may have already correctly configured this but it’s good for me to check.

If screenshots would be easier here to explain where you think Wordfence should be showing up, they can be uploaded to Snipboard, which will provide a link to include with your reply.

Are you using any third-party multisite plugins, or are you referring to the inbuilt WordPress multisite functionality?

Hi, thanks for the reply. Wordfence is activated as it should be, network only. I expected to see the Settings either on the network admin menu or at the main site menu. BUT, it doesn’t want to show up. I use Beyond Multisite plugin to manage my sites but even after deactivated it the Wordfence refuses to appear. I have used it in many sites and it is shown properly but not in my multisite. I actually deactivated every plugin that had some multisite function but it didn’t work either. I probably have to skip the Wordfence plugin, something is wrong and we cannot figure out what it is. Thanks anyway.

    Hi @thebigbanik,

Unfortunately as a premium plugin, we weren’t able to access Beyond Multisite to test with Wordfence so it may be worth reaching out to their support if they offer it as part of their paid service.

If you have also now deactivated that multisite plugin, there could be a chance database tables are left behind that are still telling WordPress to hide Wordfence.

    Thanks,

    Peter.
