Using Version 7.1.12. Was registering my login (admin) as human, not I’m a bot. Other visitors still seem to be human or bot.

  • Hi @chdws!
Wordfence human/bot detection uses a JavaScript which checks for actions performed in the browser which may indicate that the user is a human. If you have turned of JavaScript in your browser, or if JavaScript isn’t executing for some other reason, you will be seen as a bot.

Can you try a different browser and see if you show up as a human then?

    Hi @chdws,
Since we haven’t heard from you for a while I’m going to go ahead and resolve this thread for now. If you have any other questions or concerns at any point, feel free to start a new thread. Thank you!

I thought I had replied! No, not working, have tried other browsers, still logging me in as a bot.

    Hi @chdws,
Which operating system and browser have you used?

High Sierra: Safari, Chrome and Firefox. Bot, bot, bot.

    Hi @chdws,
We haven’t see this issue on similar systems. If you are using any browser extensions, I’d recommend try disabling those and see if it makes a difference. You can also try using a different internet connection and computer to verify if it affects those as well.

I’m not using any browser extensions. I’ve tried another device (Mac Air). Bot. Trying a different internet connection makes no sense, I’d really rather work from the same place. The point is that it’s logging me in as a bot, from my normal computer, from my normal internet, from my normal browser. Perhaps it’s a WordPress problem (Genesis). If you can’t find the issue, I will continue as is, and assume it’s not affecting anything important from the WordFence perspective.
