• I have installed Wordfence on my website and for some reasons, I got locked out after entering incorrect details for few times. I got Locked out user screen and entered email for sending unlock email. But still I did not receive unlock email.

Tested email from wordpress -> Success
Tested wordfence tools for test email -> Success
    IP is not blacklisted
Getting unlock email for locked out scenario -> Fail

    Any help would be appreciated.

  • Hey @lakhwinder23,

The quickest way back into the site is to rename the Wordfence plugin directory to something like wordfence.bak.

Since you’ve mentioned the email tests are successful, just to be certain, have you checked the spam?

    Please let me know.

    Thanks,

    Gerroald

@wfgerald I got the point of renaming wordfence plugin. But Do I need to that everytime when I got locked out and not able to send unlock emails.

I checked spam folder and still did not get any email. Is there any other issue with locked out emails?

I had the same problem today. The expected email wasn’t received, and was not in the spam folder.

Same here. No unlock mail. Neither in the spam.
Shall i set something specific in Wordfence settings in order to get the mail?

Anyone find an answer to this? I too am experiencing this problem.

The sending needs at least one page opwn on your site. Regularly that triggers the email sending.
After you have required the email go to your site as visitor, surf a bit ant oops you have the unlock mail.
