• Hello,

    I am getting this error,

    Wordfence Live Activity:
Fatal error: Maximum execution time of 60 seconds exceeded in /wp-content/plugins/wordfence/lib/wordfenceURLHoover.php on line 122

Any Idea what could be causing this?

    Thanks,

    Aaron

  • Hi there,
Im getting the same error. Started today when I performed a scan.

    Hi,
Thanks for reporting this issue, it has been reported to our team (internal reference number: #FB5132) to be addressed in the next update.

For now, could you please increase the “max_execution_time” value in your PHP settings? this can be done via any of these methods, if none of these worked then you can get in contact with your hosting asking for that.

Also, you could -temporarily- disable “Scan posts for known dangerous URLs and suspicious content” and “Scan comments for known dangerous URLs and suspicious content” then run a new scan.

    Thanks.

    Hi,

I am experiencing the same issue. I have tried to adjust the timeout period, but neither have been successful. However, before contacting the hosting company I tried the second suggestion of disabling the scan of posts and comments for dangerous URL’s – unfortunately this didn’t make any difference – still got the same error.

    Thanks
    David

    Hi guys!
Could you please update Wordfence to the latest version released yesterday (version: 6.3.8) and run a new scan? this issue should be fixed within this update.

    Thanks.

    Hi,

I have updated to 6.3.8 and tried to run another scan. Now the scan never finishes, but seems to hang at:
Scanning file contents for infections and vulnerabilities
Scanning files for URLs on a domain blacklist.

I started a scan last night and it was still in the same state this morning.

    Please can you advise.
    Many thanks
    David

    Hi David,
It doesn’t sound like the same issue discussed here, you don’t get that fatal error referencing “wordfenceURLHoover.php on line 122” right?

If so, please open a new support thread with all the details you know and I’ll be glad to check this one for you.

    Thanks.
