• I purchased a plugin called WP Content Copy Protection (Pro) by wp-buy. I installed the the plugin and see it on my plugins page. I then go to the setting menu of the plugin, and no matter what I try to do, any changes or not and save the settings, I get an error from Wordfence.

The page says Wordfence on the top, then 403 Forbidden. A potentially unsafe operation has been detected in your request to this site.

I even deactivated wordfence to try to complete my setup of WP Content Copy Protection, and I still get the same Wordfence 403 Forbidden error.

I contacted the support team for WP Content Copy Protection. They installed the exact version (the most current version) of Wordfence to test it out and on their end they do not get any errors and cannot determine the issue.

    PLEASE HELP!

  • Hi @tpeskin,

From Wordfence -> Live Traffic (after re-activating it), can you see any connections that were blocked?

If you just want to finish installing WP Content Copy Protection, can you first go into Wordfence -> All Options, and tick off Delete Tables on Deactivation? Then deactivate Wordfence, and it should no longer be blocking the installation.

Thanks @wfdave. Unfortunately, this did not work. I cleared my cache, both from a browser and via W3 Cache plugin, and I continue to get these Wordfence 403 Forbidden errors.

    Any other thoughts?
