Wordfence interferring with SiteGround Supercacher functionnality

  • Hi I have a site hosted on SiteGround and using their SuperCacher plugin. The plugin has a functionnality allowing you to test if a particular page is cached or dynamic. With Wordfence enabled when you click the test button it just keeps spinning and never returns anything. As soon as I disable Wordfence it starts working perfectly.

    We’re running the following config on two sites: WordPress v4.6.1 , WordFence Premium v6.2.6 and SG CachePress v2.3.11

    We haven’t updated WordFence to v6.2.7 yet, but the SG SuperCache test is successful on both sites: Click to See Cache Test Image at LakePath.com

    Questions…
    1) Are you running the same versions as above?
    2) Are you running WordFence Premium?
    3) Did you disable the WordFence builtin cache function?
    4) Anything you’d like me to check in our WordPress or SiteGround settings?

    Hi,

    1) I am running WordPress 4.6.1, SG SuperCache 2.3.11 and WordFence 6.2.7.
    2) No, the free version
    3) No, it has been removed from the plugin as far as I know.
    4) Well if you didn’t do anything in particular to make it work with SuperCacher I guess not but thanks for asking.

    I am part of the senior technical support team at SiteGround. We haven’t noticed such issue/incompatibility between the two plugins – they should be working properly together, but we will need to check the case further in order to see what is causing this behaviour.

    Have you opened a support ticket in your SiteGround account? If yes – please let me know what is the ticket ID (if you haven’t opened one yet – please do it) so I can investigate the issue in details:)

    Yes I did open a ticket but I was told to check with Wordfence.

    Hi Ivan and Jim,

    I see you have a ticket created, but just to let you know…

    We did update both of our websites today to WordFence 6.2.7. I ran the SG CachePress/SuperCache plugin Dynamic Cache Status test and it worked on both sites.
