    Dear Wordfence Security:

I discovered through deactivating and reactivating plugins that Wordfence Security is interfering with my automatic email notification settings. This happens when someone registers on my site for the first time (I’m using the Responsive WordPress Auction Theme by Sitemile). This problem is fairly new, because email notifications were functioning properly with Wordfence Security for months. I think it may have begun with one of your last updates. Any help you could give me so I can continue using Wordfence Security would be much appreciated.

    Thank you,
    John

    Hi John,

Do you know where to find the site’s error log? Usually in cases like this, there will be a message in the log, related to the issue. I don’t know of any changes that would cause this type of issue, but it depends on how the theme works.

If you are using any of the caching options under “Performance Setup” on the Wordfence menu, try turning them off temporarily, and see if the issue still occurs.

If that does not help, you can temporarily turn off “Enable firewall”, to see if it is any of the firewall features causing the problem. (Ideally, you would want to try this quickly, and register as a new user yourself, to see if the email is delivered, then enable the firewall again.)

How did you resolve the issue?
