This might not be the proper place, but I wanted to provide some positive feedback for Wordfence, which I never heard of until this morning.

I’m a small business owner, and as such I wear many hats, one of which is as the “IT guy”. I do all my own web page stuff, and that is where the problem creeps in.

My businesses web page suddenly started triggering alerts from Malwarebytes for “Coinhive” mining. I certainly did not add this to my site so some jerk did!

Very long story short I’ve done everything I could to remove this code, but I could not find it, neither could my hosting company. After trying other wordpress secutiry plugins without success I installed Wordfence. In about 15 minutes it successfully fixed my website, where everything else failed!!

If you have this Coinhive mining problem like I did, install and let Wordfence do its thing.

Thank you to the Wordfence developers, I’m reading and learning more about your product now!

    Take care and thanks!!

  • Hi @cain57
Thanks! I’m glad you managed to clean your website both quickly and effectively using Wordfence.

The plugin’s reviews page would be a perfect place for your nice words, you can add a review following this link.

    Have a great day!
