Wordfence Error

  • Hello-

    I just installed the free version of Wordfence on my site (www.kayakauthority.com) and unfortunately I am noticing an error that plugin is causing on my site. You’ll notice on the “Connect With Us” section located near the top of all pages, the social media icons are now missing. Instead there is now blank boxes with some sort of black and white logo behind it. Please advise on what I should do to make it show the icons. Thanks.

    Can you try this please?

    1. Set the Firewall to “Learning mode”
    2. Repeat the action that was getting blocked (visit your site from a browser where you are not logged in as admin)
    3. Check the whitelist at the bottom of the Firewall page to make sure an entry was added for the action you performed
    4. Set the Firewall back to “Enabled and protecting”.

    You should now have whitelisted the action and you should in the future be able to repeat it without having to touch the firewall.
