    Hello

I am actually finding it very difficult to install wordfence CLI on my wordpress site because I have downloaded the plugin zip file from Github and when trying to upload – some php file missing error comes everytime and installation fails !! the error doesn’t seem like to be persuadable to resolve so I am not focusing on it currently.

Does someone have any guide on how to install it properly on a www.remarpro.com site ? if Yes please help and guide me on that please. Any help on this would be appreciated.

Thank you for the attention to this message.

Hi @mcgeneraluser, thanks for reaching out to us.

I may be misunderstanding the steps taken, but are you trying to install Wordfence CLI as a WordPress plugin? If so, it isn’t a plugin like Wordfence Free and requires one of the installation methods highlighted on: https://github.com/wordfence/wordfence-cli/blob/main/docs/Installation.md

    Thanks,
    Peter.

    Hello Peter

Thanks for your response – you got me here !!

I want it installed on my WordPress website i..e i would like to see it in my WordPress dashboard like the other plugins.

The steps mentioned in this are highly sophisticated and I am unable to follow any of it.

Any layman tips to get it installed like a Drag and Drop on my website ?? please let me know. I mean I don’t know basics of git and this is some real quick thing(CLI) we want to integrate !!

Hope you got my context !!

    Hi @mcgeneraluser,

Currently those are the only installation notes available as CLI is primarily geared towards technical site owners and enterprise customers. You may need to check that your server can run a command line interface and install Python code from a repository before proceeding further. It may be worth speaking to your host or server administrator with a copy of our installation instructions to see if that’s possible.

May I ask your intended use-case so I can better understand your requirements for CLI? That may help me to get you the assistance you need.

    Thanks again,
    Peter.

    Hello peter

    apologies for the delayed response

We typically need CLI for just checking infected files and yes the way you explained, we need to do some changes in our server environment and then test it from scratch!! I will revert in case if any technical support is required else the other things are pretty clear. Our AIM was to scan and assess the site files if infected or secure that’s all

Thanks for the response peter, Appreciate it

    Have a good day !!!
