• As my server was unreachable for a moment, Wordfence Central shows 150 sites as disconnected. I can only reconnect them 1 by 1 instead of doing an attempt for all sites. Can this option be added? It saves a lot of time, because doing it 1 by 1 is kind of slow. I’m managing 300+ sites in total.

Hi @josklever, thanks for your suggestion.

With a temporary outage, Central does eventually try to connect again. This is most often done around the time a scan runs. As long as the site hasn’t also been disconnected on the plugin side and still appears to be connected to Central, it should come back at some point if there’s nothing now stopping Central from reaching it.

Because of the point above, it’s strange for 150 sites to be disconnected if the server was only unavailable briefly as they wouldn’t all necessarily be running scans or being checked in another way to be noticed as disconnected. We have taken note of some of the affected sites and see some have a scan recorded but never came out of “Connection Issues”. This may take a little time for our QA team to investigate further but we’re certainly focused on seeing if there’s a reason (at either end) for that.

We will certainly consider adding a bulk reconnect though, so I have submitted the development request as we usually would. If you are able to highlight why the server became unavailable and how long it was precisely for, that may also be useful in our investigations.

    Many thanks,
    Peter.

    Hi Peter,

There was a typo in a blocklist on my server’s firewall, because a /24 subnet missed the “4” ??, resulting in blocking a quarter of the internet. It lasted the whole night (about 10 hours) between 29th and 30th of October. So that’s more than 48 hours ago.

Sites can be reconnected without issues manually, bu they don’t reconnect automatically as they did before. I’ll let them “disconnected” for now, so you have some time to investigate.

    Thanks!
    Jos

    Hi @wfpeter,

The sites are still shown as disconnected and haven’t reconnected automatically. Do you have any news for me?

    Thanks, Jos
