Sometimes I notice in Wordfence Central that a site has connection issues due to an SSL certificate that’s expired or something. Is it possible to get an alert for this event?

It would be great if I could receive this in my Slack monitoring channel as soon as it’s detected.

Hi @josklever, thanks for this suggestion.

As I mentioned in your other topic, customer suggestions are important and will always go to the wider team to be discussed for potential inclusion in the plugin. I certainly see a use-case for this for other customers also, and have put this forward to be discussed further.

    Thanks again,

    Peter.

    Thanks again!

This might be quite simple to implement, because there’s already an event marking the site as disconnected with a certain status, so an alert should be simple te add.

I’ll also wait for this implementation. ??

Thanks @josklever, if you need further assistance with Wordfence naturally create a new topic here on the forums any time and we’ll be glad to help out. Sometimes development or bug requests can be sent directly to feedback @ wordfence . com so it can be seen immediately by the correct team.

    Thanks again,

    Peter.

The internal case for this is FB11249. I have updated this feature request to include the details here and ask it be considered for inclusion.

There may be some instances where we couldn’t see this information (like if the server is behind a proxy, etc) and updating the SSL/TLS cert isn’t something you could do inside of the application, but a notification would be a nice inclusion as it is security related.
