whenever i submit a post it takes a while to publish and it times out then i get a 522 error page from CloudFlare. i contacted my hosting and they told me its from large MySQL queries made by you guys. here’s their exact response.

“I noticed though from the server logs that the application makes from time to time quite large MySQL queries towards the database and those queries take longer to be executed and eventually time out, which produces the connection time out error

I have pasted example of such queries in https://www.mockupcatalog.com/slow-query-example.txt and I believe this is related to the Wordfence plugin.

What I could suggest here is to contact a professional WordPress developer to review those slow MySQL queries, debug the application and to optimize it in order to avoid such errors in future.”

any help on fixing this. i bought your plugin and i really dont want to use any alternatives.

  • Hello savageacee,
I checked with one of our developers who said this query you posted normally only runs once an month and you can see in the sample that it only took 1 second to execute so it doesn’t seem very likely that this is the cause of your problem. You shouldn’t get a timeout from a 1 second long query. Perhaps you could check with your host again and ask them to clarify.
