Oddly, Wordfence is causing a 500 error on some of my websites. I have disabled the plugins by renaming them in cPanel and the site worked, then I activated Wordfence and the 500 error occurred again.

This site is a sub folder of my hosting account which is scanned by Centrora security because the main site in the account is a Joomla site. I’m wondering if Centrora may have changed something when it cleaned my hosting account the other day?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • Hi,
Generally, more details about “Server Error 500” can be found in the server error log file, if you don’t know where is this file you can ask your hosting provider, also checking (Wordfence > Tools > Diagnostics > Log Files) might help.

I also want to ask if the “.htaccess” file in this sub-directory has correct file path for the wordfence-waf.php file?

    Thanks.
