Is this normal? Maybe because the post it was caching was about creating strong passwords and I had a lot of different special character examples in it?

Here is the relevant part of the email I got from them:

I have checked with your website and could see that the outgoing ports are blocked as our routine scan found malicious files under your account. The scan results are :

    Infected files: 2

  • I am facing the same problem, all my files in cached are virus infected …Even if I delete the cached files, they will again be created with virus again. The mentioned virus is ” PUA.Phishing.Bank” .. Please help

And this is happening with any plugin which deals with Page caching .. the moment i remove this caching option .. problem disappears .. Please suggest, how this can be solved .. i ran the virus scan provided by Wordfence also .. it does not report any virus .. but hostgator is reporting virus in all the files in cache folder ..

Can you send us copies of a cached file at samples(at)wordfence.com ?

It may be a new type of infection, or it could be a false positive by the other scanner.

I’m sorry. I have since deleted them. The problem has not re-occurred as far as I know. If it happens again I will try to remember to do this.
