Wordfence blocks google bots

    I had issue with AIOWP security that it blocked google crawlers from crawling my site. So i want to ask if i could have the same problems with Wordfence ? I guess some of users had been this kind of problems with blocking google bots.

    My client are very angry if messing up his google rank. But everyone want safe and secure site.

  • Hi thranduil,
    By default Wordfence doesn’t block Google crawlers, if you want to make sure about that, you can install and activate Wordfence then check “How should we treat Google’s crawlers” option under (Wordfence > Firewall > Firewall Options > Rate Limiting) that’s where you can set “Verified Google crawlers have unlimited access to this site” then you can run “Fetch as Google” from Google Search Console to confirm that Google bots can reach and crawl your website.
