    Hi there,

Wordfence has suddenly started blocking all users from logging in to multiple sites. These sites are all hosted on dreamhost, if that helps.(so far issue has been seen on ediblesacramento.com, ediblemontereybay.com and ediblecommunities.com). Unlock emails are not sent. We have been using wordfence for years without this issue, so I’m not sure what has changed. Wordfence is a great plugin, and we really appreciate all the work you have put into it. Thank you for any help you can provide. Please let me know if you need more details.

A little more information: The error were getting is 503 (Block Reason: You have been temporarily locked out of this system. This means that you will not be able to log in for a while.)

I have looked at Live traffic and it has a ton of blocks all with the same IP address. Wordfence is saying that I am using the same IP address as the one being blocked – but if I got to https://www.whatsmyip.org/ my IP address is different. The IP address that is being blocked is showing dreamhost as the webhost. Could this be due to something dreamhost has changed on their end? (I’m sorry – I don’t know much about proxies or how they work so I’m kind of guessing here.)

I’m having the same issue. Hosting on siteground.com. I was able to access the site by entering my email address which has admin privileges, but I have no idea why this problem suddenly occurred.

    Thanks for helping us!

I’ve figured out my issue. The webhost had upgraded the vps server and that changed the DNS. Our DNS is handled through a third party and needed to be updated on their end. Once that happened, the issue was resolved.
