    Hallo,

I found out that Wordfence is blocking the access to the admin-ajax.php of my website. Even though I deactivated the Plugin, it is still doing this.

What can I do to change that?

Best regards and thanks in advance

  • Hallo Jan!

May I know what makes you concluded that Wordfence is blocking admin-ajax.php file? did you get any message referencing Wordfence when tried accessing this file?
If you are having problems with running other plugins using this file, then I suggest turning on the firewall “Learning Mode” for a few days and recheck this issue.

    Thanks.

Just wanted to add that once the plugin is deactivated, the firewall can’t block requests any more. Also Wordfence plugin makes ajax calls so we wouldn’t be blocking it.

    Thanks.

    Thank you.

I re-activated the plugin now. When I want to go to the Firewall Settings, I get the message that I am not allowed to access that site.

    Hi @janmod

Please make sure that the plugin isn’t deactivated for any reason when you visit the firewall page, also double check that you are logged in with an admin account, if you are using the plugin on a WordPress Network, then make sure you are logged in with a super admin account.

One question though, is that the only page that is showing this message? what about other pages (scan, tools, all options, etc…)

Let me know how it goes,
    Thanks.
