    Hi,

    Thanks for this awesome plugin!

I don’t think it’s really a problem but I got an alert that said the following. I’m not really worried about the readme.txt files. I’m more concerned about the others.

Could you tell me if I have a problem and, if so, what I should do about it?

    Thanks!

The readme.txt messages are usually caused by the plugin authors updating their plugin without making an official release, with a new version number.

This is probably the case with the wp-spamshield files as well, but it is always good to check them. On the Wordfence “scan” page, the modified files should have a link that says “See how the file has changed — this shows a side-by-side comparison, and if you are familiar with PHP, you can see if the change is something unusual. (Often it’s a simply spelling fix, or adding error-checking.)

On the Wordfence Scan page, you can also click “Restore the original version of the file” to automatically get the current copy from the plugin repository.

    Thanks Matt,

I did as you suggested and I couldn’t find any differences. So, I guess I’m good.
