    Hi,
after logging in to wordpress I saw a notification in wordfence that few files have been modified.

I checked the file differences to find out that actions.php, main.php, class-sb-instagranm-feed.php and class-sb-instagram-post.php, and item.php was modified.

All the sbi_json were changed to wp_json in these files.

Should I be worried that my site got hacked somehow

    Hi subinsplace,

    Sorry for the confusion!

We recently added a change to the current version of the plugin in those files. There was an issue with wp_json_decode that would affect a very small percentage of our users so we didn’t want to bother everyone to update.

So your site was not hacked.

Let me know if you have more questions.

    Hi Craig,

Thanks for clearing it. I have already uninstalled and reinstalled the plugin.

I got worried because the newly downloaded one also did have wp_json in those files.

    Anyway thanks!

    No problem!

Yes the wp_json_decode function is considered better practice but it is not available in some very old versions of WordPress. So we added a workaround for those of our users still using very old versions.

Let me know if you need anything else!
