    Hi,

For a good 1 month now, I′ve had an issue that if Wordfence is enabled as a plugin, with 2FA, it does not allow me to login at all. It just informs at the admin login screen: Invalid login details.
Now, only workaround I′ve found, is to SFTP and rename the wordfence plugin, then log in and the rename the folder again. So, this works, but it′s beginning to be very annoying. Tried searching the forum here, but no luck. Any tips or help is much appreciated, thanks! I have tried to reinstall the plugin, I have tried to disable Wordfence 2FA, but this is not a desirable outcome

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

Hi @ervik, thanks for getting in touch!

That is quite strange as I don’t see errors on your login page, although that may be because 2FA is currently disabled. It also doesn’t appear to be a custom page although the light/dark mode toggle is still active there which does give me a suspicion a plugin conflict may be involved.

Have you already tried disabling all other plugins aside from Wordfence and reverting to a default theme? You may find that this solves the 2FA login issue as no other plugins or custom code will be running to either cause script errors or disrupt the login flow. If that’s the case, enable your theme and other plugins in stages to see what causes the login failures to start happening again.

    Thanks,
    Peter.

I also have this exact same issue. It began somewhere after the 23rd of April.
Siteground host, PHP 7.4.33, Uncode theme if that helps any. Most recent version of WP, and all plugins and themes updated.
I have to remove or rename the Wordfence Login Security Plugin (I’m using only the login security plugin) via FTP in order to log into my site. The issue is the 2FA.

Same problem here, I have tried to disable all plugins, also tried with default wp theme, still same issue.

Were either of you able to resolve this issue? I’m having the same issue as well and like @dwlorimer I am also using SiteGround.

Not been able nor any update on this, still the workaround, sftp inn rename folder, login, then rename folder again for wordfence to work… WP running latest ver, all plugins updated, tried everything, disabled all plugins, changed to standard WP theme(the one that comes with the install) still same issue.
