    Major Incident!
Just activated 2Fa in Workfence (free version), and using Google Autenticator. After entering admin username and password, nothing happens, and there¨s nowhere to enter the 6 digit code, from the authenticator? Hence I cannot login to my website. This goes for both admin user, and normal user. Please advice a solution

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

Hi @mesterkim sorry to see you’re having trouble with 2FA activation.

Firstly, we had seen some cases of customers returned to the login page without any error message where hitting return/enter worked successfully, but hitting the Log In button didn’t work. Please give that a try to see if you’re affected by this.

Are you using any custom login pages/modal popups, or did 2FA fail on a default WordPress/WooCommerce (with WooCommerce integration enabled in Login Security > Settings) login page? Do you have reCAPTCHA enabled in addition to 2FA?

If the above doesn’t work, could you try renaming your /wp-content/plugins/wordfence folder to “wordfence_bak”, signing in as normal with your username and password only, then renaming the folder back to “wordfence”?

Some plugins and themes can cause conflicts, so once you’re back in, it’d be good to know if this still occurs with Wordfence as the only enabled plugin on a default WordPress theme. Sometimes using a different browser to your default and an incognito/private browsing window will take other things out of the equation like browser plugins that could be causing issues on the page.

    Thanks,

    Peter.
