Wordbooker Facebook posting issues

Can you try doing a “Reset” – its next to the Refresh button in the Status area. This shouldn’t remove any settings but it should double check everything against Facebook.

But the diagnostic trace shows that the default publish is not set. Have you checked what its set to on the Post itself – as each post stores the options in place when that post was made.

Ahhhh! I see, that was the problem! I was trying to send to the wall a post that was already made, so the settings weren’t registering. I see if I create a new post the settings are showing up as they should.

Glad to know you found out what the problem was

This plugin randomly ceased working after an Akismet update the client did. Disabled Akismet and it’s still not working. Reset configuration and now the Page it’s supposed to post to isn’t appearing in a drop down like before and I still have errors.

Those are cache messages – nothing to do with publishing. Turn on the advanced diagnostics, clear down any existing messages, do a post and then post the error that its reporting.

Where is “advanced diagnostics”?

Bottom option of the “blog level” settings.

That was already checked. Not sure why it wasn’t displaying the right stuff the first time around…

OK you can delete most of that before a mod come along and trashes it:

which suggests that your session has blown – click on the RESET which is next to Refresh Status and re-authenticate against your FB account.

However

Suggests its actually published to your wall.

But I’d do a reset settings just in case.

It’s publishing to the profile wall, it’s not publishing to the Fan Page. As I said, the Fan Page is not displaying in the settings. I already reset the entire thing once to try and fix it.

Another reset did not make the Fan Page appear.

Which user is having the problems – Admin or Linda?

If its Linda then:

would indicate that there is something wrong with a call being made to Facebook – its erroring out but not returning a valid error message

Is there anything in the PHP error logs? Also can you please provide the support information from the bottom of the Wordbooker page.

Evidently the whole reason everything shut down was because she changed her password on the Facebook account connected to WordBooker. So WordBooker in turn could no longer send posts. She failed to tell me that…
