Word Press default profile update doesn't save changes

I’ve been fighting this issue for two days. I’vve tried all the browsers: IE, Chrome, Opera, Firefox. I’ve disbled and even uninstalled all the plugins, and reinstalled Word Press fresh and still no luck. I’ve tried reinstalling MySQL. I’ve rolled back the database to a version where I know this feature was working. I’ve done everything concievable and it still does not save updates to the profile. It was working and now it’s not and I have no idea why. I cannot think of anything I have not tried. It saves changes to pages and posts no problem. So at this point I’m thinking its the sript.

However, the Theme My Profile plugin does save the changes, only problem there is I cannot choose to show the tool bar on the front of the site which is my preference.

Is this a known issue and does anyone out there have any idea how to fix it?
