    Recently, migrated 30+ websites (upon which all these sites had Word Fence installed) and only one doesn’t fully work properly now. Wonder if you can give some tips on fixing the issue.

    So…

    The site is a private (log in to view anything) membership website and everything is working except the option to OPTIMIZE the firewall is greyed out. I can get to the expected page where it warns you to download a backup copy of the .htaccess file but the button to continue is not available–nothing happens on just this one website when I attempt to optimize the fire wall. Every one of the other sites this optimizing worked great.

    Any ideas what I can do? Thanks.

    Hi @swiss_cheese, thanks for reaching out to us over this issue.

    Are all the sites hosted in different locations, or on the same host with the same kind of server infrastructure/software running?

    As there can be quirks for Isapi, OpenLiteSpeed, software versions or file/folder permissions when attempting to optimize, please check whether your issue falls into one of our troubleshooting methods here: https://www.wordfence.com/help/firewall/optimizing-the-firewall/troubleshooting/

    If you’re a Premium Wordfence Customer and expect the firewall to be able to optimize to 100%, I recommend opening a support ticket at https://support.wordfence.com. They will be able to assist you faster and more efficiently.

    If none of those apply or have worked for you, please send a diagnostic report to wftest @ wordfence . com. You can find the link to do so at the top of the Wordfence Tools > Diagnostics page. Then click on “Send Report by Email”. Please add your forum username where indicated and respond here after you have sent it.

    Note: For the fastest response time, please make sure and add any information or questions directly to this topic and not the email address above unless asked.

    Thanks,

    Peter.

    Hi @swiss_cheese thanks for sending the diagnostic over.

    I see there that user_ini.filename: php.ini, so the wizard can’t work with that as .user.ini has been changed to php.ini

    If you create a php.ini file in public_html and add this code to see if WAF optimizes (you may have to wait 5 minutes):

    ; Wordfence WAF
    auto_prepend_file = '/home/wabdao0aavl2/public_html/wordfence-waf.php'
    ; END Wordfence WAF

    Thanks,

    Peter.
