Word Counter Stopped Updating

  • This “bug” happens mainly when editing a previous post, but also occurs when writing a new one.

    The post word counter will say something like “197 words”, but fails to update in real-time when edits are made. It only updates once the “update” button is pressed.

    Is there any fix or way to get this working again?

  • Do you have other plugins that use Javascript, jQuery, Ajax etc that may be conflicting?

    Try disabling them all if so, then activate one at a time to determine what one is causing it. Can often take a while.
