Word Count is Broken

    I’m having an issue on 5-6 websites, running WordPress SEO, where the word count is dramatically off. An example from a post I’m writing today, The word count, from the WordPress Admin is 173, but the word count from WordPress SEO is 98.

    I counted the words, by hand, skipping over everything encompassed in the “a” and “img” tags. I got to 98 words, before my first “h2” tag (Less than half-way through the article).

    I’m getting similar issues on at least four other websites, I manage. There is a sixth website, I haven’t checked yet.

    All the websites, except the one, in the example above, are hosted by Web Synthesis. Alabama Cooling and Heating is hosted on GoDaddy.

    All of the websites are using the Genesis Framework, with a mod’ed StudioPress theme.

    All of the websites are using Gravity Forms.

    All of the websites are using SendPress with the Mandrill API.

    All of the websites have the free Sucuri Security Plugin.

    All of the websites are using your plugin.

    All of the plugins have a basic “Plugin Set” installed, in addition to those mentioned above.

    I found the underlying issue, though I’m not sure what is causing it. The WordPress Editor is removing part of the code, when the initial draft is saved. If I correct it, before I post (or after) this word count issue goes away!
