Wootheme Storefront Error Displaying in IE8

Hi,
We have been advised by our clients that the Storefront theme we are running does not display correctly in IE8.
We tested our own and yours here:
https://demo2.woothemes.com/storefront/Using the IE Emulator in IE Developer Tools. Switched it to IE8 and the menu jumps to a vertical display and other layouts fail too.

https://prntscr.com/7vzabtOur target audience will be mostly using older browsers so really need this to work for them.
Any ideas / feedback / help is very welcome.
