WOOF Conflict with SG Optimiser
-
I have found an issue that caused my WooCommerce checkout to stop working after a recent update to SG Optimiser or WOOF. There are a set set of specific conditions that causes this issue that I’ll try and describe. My site is running WordPress: 5.5.3, PHP version: 7.3.24 and was tested with the Twenty Twenty theme. The problem is that a user who is not logged in cannot checkout as a guest even though Guest Checkout is enabled and has been working until recently. On the front end it behaves as if WooCommerce Guest Checkout is disabled. There are 3 conditions for this problem to occur:
1. The user is NOT LOGGED IN.
2. The WOOF – WooCommerce Products Filter (Version 1.2.4.1) is enabled
3. The SG Optimiser (Version 5.7.6) is enabled.
When these conditions are met, the ‘Returning customer? Click here to login’ link doesn’t work and all the fields in the Stripe payment panel are disabled.I have disabled all plugins except WooCommerce, WOOF and SG Optimiser to validate the conditions. With WOOF and SG Optimiser disabled the checkout works as it should, with WOOF and SG Optimiser both enabled the problem occurs. I have raised the issue with SightGround who author SG Optimiser and provide my hosting.
