    Hi there,

I was adviced to open my own thread.
    Link to thread
I’ve installed Woocommerce google analytics. All the other analytics functions are working but not tracking sales, transactions or checkout.
Already made sure I have no double tags present a while back. I’ve read that WOo GA doesn’t play good along Cloudflare caching but couldn’t confirm if that’s the case. I’m NOT caching everything and have page rules in CF to not cache cart/checkout/Ajax and so on.
On the staging site I tried the Gv4 tag without success. Tested disabling minify/combine. Tested a function to inject the tag script to the thank-you page. All of it without success. I’m stunned that Google makes this such an awful task. I would like to ditch Google but you can escape evil I guess..
I’m using UA. Hope I could hear from the team soon.

    Hey @mike8040,

That is strange and testing on my installation for us my site is tracking sales when using the UA- tag and when I also have Google Enhanced E-Commerce analytics functionality enabled.

It could be a cache of some kind. What I’d initially suggest us using Google Tag Assistant tool for Chrome to make sure some tracking code elements are on the Thank You/Order Received page when placing a test order.

You can read more about testing analytics within this document below.

Thanks for your response. With saying that I already checked for double/correct tags I meant I used the Tag Manager by Google to make sure there are the appropriate tags set. Everything is alright according to troubleshooting docs but still it doesn’t work.
I must say that I find GA and Google Ads interface awful and having a hard time to get used to it. Maybe I missed a setting there. E-commerce and Enhanced EC is active. Is there anything else I need to set and missed that? Also I generated a conversion ID in Google Ads for buys with a custom code in the child function for the Thank-you page. (In this try I used a custom thank you page which is actually the ultimate goal I try to achieve. Saying this right now I try the default TY page to work properly first) The GTAG code after a test buy is correct having all the product information and prices but still no tacking of this in GA or GAds.

I must say I’m confused by the general logic with GAds and GA. Both are connected with another and both track the conversion and checkout behavior but with a different setup. Intuitively I would keep all the analytics in GA and not let those two platforms do the same stuff.

    Hey @mike8040,

When using the WooCommerce Google Analytics Integration to track sales etc there are no other requirements in addition to adding a UA- tracking number and enabling Enhanced E-Commerce analytics on your Google Analytics user account.

With that enabled as long as the tracking code is displaying on the site all sales which automatically have a status set of Processing or Completed after the customer order is made should be tracked.

For Google Ads in particular this requires the setting below to be enabled within the WooCommerce Google Analytics Integration.

Display Advertising Support: Check this box if you intend to run ads on the Google Display Network and would like these tracked in your analytics account.

We haven’t heard back from you in a while, so I’m going to mark this as resolved – if you have any further questions, you can start a new thread.
